I bought a bottle of tigger pods today and want to add it to my tank. I've added a couple bottles in the past and I've always done it late at night when the fish are sleeping and turning my pumps off. Just curious if there's any other way to introduce them to your tank. Thanks

That’s the way I’ve always done it. If you have a long tube, you could aim that into your rock work or sand, then dump through the tube. But that could be overkill. Do you feed phytoplankton?

I haven't, but I was thinking about it, could I do it when I introduce them to tank or better to feed them in the bottle for a bit?

I’ve usually been instructed to just dump them into the tank quickly while they are the most live and active. But you can keep them alive in the bottle by adding some in there, if needed. I don’t do phyto all the time, but does help boost your new population and corals like it too.

Yeah, I'll pick up a bottle this weekend. My lfs has bottles for like 12 bucks. I picked up a Mandarin that's eating my artci pods but I want to sustain his diet by adding some live pods. Hoping it'll work out and he can munch on both. Also hoping my other fish dont destroy the bottle I'm going to add tonight lol

I go to a beach at low tide, pick up a rock and swirl it in salt water, then dump it in my tank. I get amphipods and copepods.
