What is the recommended product. Epoxy? Putty for aquascaping and locking down corals and frags.

If you'd like a stiffer epoxy (putty), try Rectorseal....at HD. This is what I use.

Ive always had good success with Alteco EPO AB putty

$0.02:

In general, super glues are very sticky but get brittle in water...especially saltwater.

Epoxy is barely sticky at all, especially when wet, but is approximately as strong at steel when cured.

Tunze's new two-part epoxy is somewhat unique - it is quite sticky, but workable...cures strong...and is totally water-compatible.

All of them are good to use if you keep their limitations in mind.

I have read good things about Tunze's I might be ordering some on amazon....

Hmm. I may have to try that instant gum stuff. I know it says to turn off the skimmer but who really likes doing that every time. I get frags almost every week. If not twice.

I just started using my tunze gum, and to be honest, theres so much of it that itll last me forever. Its softer then gum and because of that you can wrap frags into deep crevices withen the rock for it to set, but it sets in like 40 seconds so you have to be quick lol. Doesnt smell, doesnt get hot, doesnt stick to your fingers, releases no talcun powder, doesnt screw your skimmer up,doesnt drop your ph. But its 50$ and yea to me its worth it,especially if you hate smelly messy epoxy like i do lol

Is the tunze gum good for aquascaping?
I went through 2 sticks of the dd aqua puddy for my scape, with is around 150pound of rock. If i had to take a guess, both the jars of tunze gum together will equal out to 3 tubes of epoxy. So if youd like to spend 50$ on aquascaping shoot for it, most likely the best epoxy you can use.
