Jabeo jlw-10 sine wave maker - disregard the horrible green algae. She’s a new tank. Think I am running lights too long. Any suggestions on algae control will be good too. Thanks.

I vote left side 3/4 of the way up. Powerhead pointed slightly down.

I vote to put another one on the opposite side and let the flow bounce off each other to create random flow pattern. More flow is beneficial in so many ways including helping against algae.

Your rock is hardly green at all, to be expected in a new tank, just keep up with water changes etc

As for the power head, you will be able to judge better when you add corals, I would point in to the water surface to help with oxygen and ph, one of the back corners would probably work, pointed to the middle of the tank, slightly pointed up.

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
