As the title states I'm looking for an Apex ready DC return pump. My Vario-s 4 may have failed after a few years of operation. The pause lights are blinking red on the controller and I'm not getting any response from the pump at all. I don't know of ways to troubleshoot the pump vs the controller. I've been out of the equipment market for a while now. I'm asking for a bit of help to get educated. Maybe some black friday deals are coming up? I'd love the feedback.

Now that is "top notch" with a 10 year warranty. 🤯

I've always been a fan of RD3 pumps.
There is a new line of RD5 pumps out.
They may not have the same warranty as the abyzz pumps, but they are known for being long lived.
My RD3 100watt is about 8 years old now.

What does it mean by Apex-ready? Return pumps are either on or off so guess they’re pretty much all Apex-ready? Once you adjust the speed manually, you shouldn’t touch it again.

I run 2 x Abyzz A200 on the big tank, Ecotech M2, and cheap Jebao across several tanks. The Abyzz is rock-solid but so are the others. My $89 Jebao is running non-stop for the last 5 years without any issues.

Apex ready usually means there is 12v port to control the pump speed . Just like light intensity can be controlled .

Thanks but why limited to the COR? There are many other options out there. Of course, unless you want to get rid of those AC/DC transformers.
