Fed my tank my first silverside today. Cut it into thirds and gave two 1/3 pieces to random spots for hermit crabs to eat. Have the other 1/3 to the serpent sea star and all of it is gone. Sea star immediately snagged it, glad to see it’s healthy and eating
Awesome!!! That’s great to hear!

I've had this West African biscuit star for 6 months and eats algea wafers. Haven't messed with any if my corals.

Sand sifting sea stare are totally safe in reefs. Require a deep sand bed and I've had mine 2 years now. He fors a great job keeping the sand clean.

I'm not a reef expert by any measure, but isn't an urchin start combo a bad idea for the star? I've always been under the impression that urchins will hunt and eat stars. But, I'm no expert so correct me if I'm wrong please.

serpant, sand sifting and Brittle stars
Avoid Linkias. Theyre gorgeous but hard to keep.
