I have a 29 gallon biocube and s sump that holds another 15 gallons I need help finding an appropriate skimmer than can fit in a 5"x9.5" space. The nac 3.5 is one I was looking at but found mixed reviews. Has anyone had success with that skimmer or another that can fit in that small of an area. I am not against a hang on back unit that I could hang on my sump but would like to stay in the 2-300 range.

Ugh choosing a skimmer has my brain hurting. Leaning more towards hob unit but just not sure, I really don't want to run it 24/7 but I also don't want to go too small just so it can fit in my return. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My Tunze 9001 works great for my 30gal system but it's not heavily stocked. One of the things that I really like about it is how easy it is to clean!! Didn't have the space for anything larger in my setup.

IMO you can't go wrong with the nac3.5

I have had good luck with the CPR bak-pak over the years. I have used them on tanks from 29g up to 75g. On the 75g, it really isn't big enough but on the 29g and 40g that I used them on, they worked very well and are easy to clean. I think they can be had for under $150 from what I saw online.
