how to kill algae without dosing? i am trying a blackout to see if it works. i have a refugium but idk if it is doing anything but perpetuating the uglies. i might get chemipure blue elite. if the issue continues, what kinds of corals/inverts are more resistant to algae. i would like dresea clam and bear paw clam if i can find them. my invert book says they are hardy and dosent talk about algae smothering. my specs will be 300w reallasy light, chinese filter (400 gph) i am considering a powerhead to get rid of my filter bubbles but im scared of killing my file w/ the powerhead

You literally have to pull bryopsis by hand and finish by removing the roots with either a dental pick or small crochet needle and get every root. Just leaving one will start that jungle again (not as bad as it sounds)
After you are done, add chitons, large astrea snails and even an emerald crab
