Best website host, and website design software

If I'm looking at creating a website who would you recommend as a host, and also what design software would you use ( must be easy/user friendly since I'm no computer genius). The site will be used for selling as well so keep that in mind.

Do you know any code yourself? I'm a professional web developer who does a lot of different kinds of work.

I use bluehost as my hosting for both my website and domain. (Stay away from godaddy)

If you know a little here and there try picking up Wordpress. You can do a lot with eCommerce with them. Find a theme if you don't know anything about coding. Or build your own off of it.

Also if you want to basically drag and drop stuff I have been reading on square space. Kind of a all in one host deal. Looks cool, but not my thing because I like to get dirty and build my own.

If that's the case, take a look at squarespace.

Or google around for a ecommerce Wordpress theme you like (once the theme is installed u don't need to know much) and go from there.

Make sure whatever you go with t is responsive or mobile ready. Mobile browsers are on the way to being used more than desktops.

I'm not sure i want something flash driven because I'd like it to be apple compatible for i users

I understand I use an I phone and can't view the site. They do host for free I believe under a certain size limit I think. I also think they have templates that can be used to create websites. If you know how to use photoshop you can create the layout and slice it. It is real easy. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Intuit web design is good. In use them but I start with a blank canvas and design own site. I don't much like the prebuilt templates

Check out Free Website Builder | Create a Free Website | WIX. I have used them. It's HTML5, very user-friendly site builder (drag and drop...no code required), excellent templates...I love their service. Their paid services are reasonable and well worth it.
