Saving money in this hobby is BIG BUCKS lol
After 25 yrs away, I came back to the hobby a little shell shocked over prices, oh well, save where you can.

I originally paid 6 bucks a piece for four filter socks plus tax and so on

Then I saw a DIY thread here and decided to save a few bucks.

I bought the material, not from a fabric store that would have been even cheaper but from a fish supplier and with one yard my wife made 9 socks plus a little sock lol

The socks come out to about $1.44 a piece, I bought from the fish supplier just to be on the safe side as our first go at this and to insure that the material filtered down to 200 microns.
I am pleased

with the outcome and we saved roughly $50
