Hello everyone! I’ve been collecting parts and the time has come! I got a nice antique 100 gallon tank. Wood trim glass brace and a real wood stand. Sump is gonna be a 55 gallon. All the rock and livestock is gonna be moved over in one shot.

First on the list is I have to drill the tank. I got an eshops eclipse m overflow. I was going to drill through the bottom but after I priced it out this route is similar in cost and much simpler. I already cut all the acrylic for the baffles so i just have to silicone it in place.

This is the current set up. I took part of the scape apart so it’ll be easier to pull out rocks for the new build

Today’s accomplishments tank is drilled and the sump is done. I went with a very basic sump design. 2 baffles from the skimmer section and a small divider to keep the sand out of the return pump section.

Tank is up!! I’ll take better pics without the blue later had to work later today. Also upgrade the flow aswell. Added a jebao cross flow. If anyone has any tips on settings that would be great. I’m not to sure on the different settings like the random and the different types of waves. Right now I have it on a constant flow at the lowest power. Any higher seems like too much flow.

Next step in the process is a new cleanup crew. Mine is in desperate need of replenishment. Gonna make an order off of reef cleaners but I want to wait until after Christmas because of shipping delays. I want some Ceriths dwarf Ceriths maybe some nerites. They also have some feeder snails they sell that are invasive to Florida for dirt cheap. I’m gonna buy a bunch of those to hopefully keep the puffer busy.
