Question, I’m setting up a 13 1/2 gallon tank and the filtration is small I am assuming marinpure balls is better but I can fit like 5 inside. But fuluval bio max is probably not as good but I can fit way more. What should I do? can I break apart the matinepure to fit more?

these are not required in reefing, they're for freshwater, or for quarantine tanks. any use of live rock in the display makes those unnecessary/a waste of cash to buy. they don't help nor harm your tank, since live rock handles all the contact area needed. paying money for a neutral impact item is wasting cash

more isn't better, more contact area is more cleaning hassle and rocks alone are enough.

Yeah I also wouldn't worry unless you are doing minimal rocks and no sand.
