Biomedia in G2 nano cube?

Has anyone placed biomedia in the back of their G2 Nano? Like under the skimmer looks like a lot of room but I was thinking I’d put my heater there laying horizontally? i see a lot of people put the heater in return chamber vertically. Any thoughts?

Any luck? I want to add my cycled media into my new tank (hasn't been set up yet), but dont exactly know where to put it

I have mine underneath my filter sock in a Max nano g2 xl. Seams to work.
