Biopellets or algea scrubber

My biology is a little heavier now and was wondering Which route to take ! I have a biopellet reactor with pellets new in box and a algea scrubber both are in storage but bout to hook one up but can't decide which be best ? What's everyone's thoughts on this I like to keep it simple
