After clearing the fixture it was time to start rebuilding the fixture.

I found since tubing and cut it open to run around the hole for the fan, didn't really like the way the tubing looked so I found some door edge guard and it looked much better.

The reflectors were rather grimey and needed since elbow grease to bring back to life.

Not perfect after buffing but much better, might upgrade the reflectors and ballasts to ATI after a while.

Put some of the door edge guard down the cut edge of the reflectors to clean them up and cover any sharp edges.

Well if the rest of it follows the quality of the light fixture, I'm sure you will not have a problem with that, lol. keep up the quality work!

I don't plan on cutting any corners. I plan on taking my time and making this my best and most complete build yet.

That's good to hear, so many people rush things and end up paying for it some way in the long run. It's a good philosophy to have in this hobby, lol

Couldn't agree more even though I've been guilty rushing things myself. And I honestly think that's where some of my problems are based.

Me too, lol but have definitely learned from it. Even though we as reefers are some of the most patient people waiting and watching our systems mature and our coral grow we are also very impatient too. So what is next on the list do get done? How long do you think your rock will be soaking for?

Love the custom fixture!!! No way you can use old pvc with such an awesome custom light!!! :)

Haha! Thanks. As far as the plumbing is concerned the are three Cepex ball valves that are about $35 each that'll definitely be used again.

I'm waiting on the sump to do the plumbing once the plumbing gets done then I'll start the aquascape. I'm in no big rush to move the rocks at this point. I'm sure it'll be in the Rubbermaid can for at least another week.

The tank and stand made it home safely, now its time to make it my own. Love the way it fills up the spot and with the stand being 40" tall it's at perfect viewing height and maintenance will be much easier.

Took the bottom and back board walls off of the stand and brought them into work.

Sanded them with 320 grit sand paper, and filled in a few screw holes.

Put them in the booth put a couple coats of sealer, base and then some clear.
