Black gravel for saltwater aquarium

so I think I’m gonna go with a 1 inch or so layer of black gravel in my saltwater aquarium.
any insight on going this route?

I would not use that. You'll get mixed reviews on the Hawaiian black by Caribsea(which I've used for over a decade without issues) I've also used gray coast by seachem, which is calcite and I liked that.
