SCIENTIFIC NAME - Arothron nigropunctatus

COMMON NAME - Blackspotted Puffer

SIZE - 13" ( 33 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 75 US Gal. ( 284 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Varied marine meaty diet, chopped shrimp, squid, clams, enriched krill, fish, marine preparations for herbivores, feed at least 3 times a day.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Not Recommended

CAPTIVE CARE - Destructive in reef systems, in community fish only tanks that are large enough will become the family pet. Can be shy and refuse to eat at first, once acclimated will become bold and show more often, do not keep with overly aggressive tank mates. More than one can be kept in the same tank, usually not aggressive, can be kept with less aggressive Aronthron spp. species.
