I would not add bleach/chlorine (same thing just at different pH) to a reef tank unless you are are desperate that you don't care if it hurts other organisms. There's no reason to think it is uniquely sensitive to hypochlorite. That said, I've not seen data on how well it works.

Thanks for the response Randy, I seem my LFS use it for a month with corals and a few different tangs without issue to them, not sure the long term effects on any of the creatures.
