Bleached nem?

Does this baby bubbletip look bleached to you guys? Was a very highlighter bright yellow fluorescence under blue light at the store, I’m a little suspicious of that color but thought it was too cool to pass up as well. Either way I’ll stick him in a shaded spot and see what happens :)

Hard to tell. Sometime the color will vary when traveling in a bag, even for short periods. The tentacles still look good, so it will likely be okay

Your main concern after putting it into main display tank is the foot. If the foot will not attach then that is a big indicator of something being wrong. Also look for what appears to be melting or jelly like appearance. If this occurs, remove it immediately. This ine appears to be in decent health just looking at the image. The tentacles still look are out and puffed at the end which is normal

Awesome, right now its foot is holding onto some rubble. I was able to bring a nem back before that wasn’t sticking for a week, and it luckily recovered too!

That looks to be a bleaching green bta but not to the extent that it can’t be revived. It will need to be allowed to acclimate to your aquarium for about a week.
Do not feed it for the first week and allow it find a comfortable spot first as feeding may cause unnecessary stress and energy depletion required for digestion.
After a week you can target feed 2-3X a week with small amounts of mysis shrimp, nothing large.

Could also be what my lfs calls a “lantern” bta they have gotten them in a couple times this year and in the past I bought one that eventually gave back as it became a problematic splitter after a while, they look like a bleached nem even in blue light but with a more transparent odd look

Interesting, thank you for the care info It seems overnight it moved to a cave and took on that classic milky white bleached look in white light. Under blues it looks radioactive haha. I think I’ll treat it as bleached for now, but it would be cool if that were simply the color morph
