Hi, so I really want a blenny in my 20 gallon cube tank, but I already have a diamond goby in there with a pair of Ocellaris Clownfish, a baby mandarin goby that is less than an inch long, a small cleaner shrimp, a humongous fire shrimp,2 Nassarius snails, and 2 Turbon snails. I’ve never had a blenny before and I was thinking of adding one more fish to my tank just because our mandarin goby is so tiny. I love my mandarin so much but she will take a while to grow up right? Would blennies be okay in a tank with a baby mandarin and a diamond goby about 1 1/2 inches long? Thanks in advance, also if you have suggestions on which blenny to get if I’m able to get a blenny, please feel free to give me some ideas.

I doubt that a small tank can grow enough pods to feed a mandarin. Some mandarins will accept frozen food. If yours does, it might work. They are cool fish.

Ahh okay, so should we make a refugium to grow pods? I’ve noticed that my goby has been eating some so I’m a bit worried about that but my mandarin is constantly pecking at the rocks and glass. She figured out that the glass has many copepods. Thank you so much.

Glad to see she is doing well ! Captive-bred Dragonets are just the thing for a small tank !
Thank you! Yes! They are a great little addition although she is really hard to spot sometimes, but when I do, I can’t get over how cute she is. She doesn’t eat frozen though, but I figured copepods are probably a better diet for them. Just a little more maintenance and time. I don’t mind as long as she’s healthy and happy
