My daughter works for the Raiders and the President CEO had a 54 gallon corner tank in his office. They are now moved to Vegas but he gifted me with his tank and had it moved to my house. I feel so lucky to have it and have learned a lot in the past 4 months. Things have changed a lot since I used to be in the hobby back in the early 80s. Thank you for all of the info on this sight. I've been following it for a while now.

Welcome to R2R and the wonderful folks, information and help.
Patience, it is the big word around here, Reefing is patience to cycle, to watch things grow, to keep your tank balanced.
I recommend to everyone joining to create a tank build thread.
1. You get to see where you have started and how much you have grown in this hobby.
2. We love pictures and to see what your doing with your tank.
3. It’s a great learning tool for all of us to see what works and doesn’t . We learn great stuff from each other.
Lastly the only bad question here is the one not asked...

That’s exactly what I love R2R. I really can’t take much credit for all of this tank. It was a well established tank with anenomes and some corals. It was moved and setup for me. All I did was rescape the rock and I’ve added a few corals. It was full of anenomes. I kept 3 and found homes for 6. I did repair equipment. I replaced the skimmer pump. I also replaced the wave maker. It was broken as well. I made a screen top and the stand (canopy) for the light. I will definitely be using any experience and knowledge from the awesome peeps from R2R!
