Hi all - Solar wrasse purchased from reputable LFS 9 days ago. Acclimated well and an enthusiastic eater from the beginning. He’s put on most of this bulk since his arrival. Feeding a mix of pellets & frozen foods. His behavior is normal. Thanks!

Sorry, the pics are too blue and out of focus to really see much. Can you try a short video under white lights? That is sometimes easier to get decent images.....

Ya, my bad. I snapped these before heading to the airport so I can’t improve them for a few days. The top pic shows his pudgy thoracic profile pretty well. He’s otherwise just fine with no obvious signs.
Being my first wrasse, I’m not sure how he should look.

That looks too swollen to me.
The location of the swelling can sometimes be the key as to the cause: above the midline is the swim bladder. If it isn’t symmetrical left and right, it is often a tumor or cyst. Swelling to the posterior can be eggs or an intestinal blockage. Swelling near the front and below the midline can be from over eating. Swelling along the entire gut can be ascites, a general swelling in all tissues is edema.

Thank you. It’s definitely in the abdominal region and symmetrical. We’ll cut back his feeding a little and see if it subsides.
