So I got this fish. And I have tried every combination of meaty and dry foods. Still not eating.

He sometimes seems interested in food grabs something and spit it out.

I really don't know what to do. It's in a QT atm with cupramine in it. Along with other tank mates while the quarantine its done.

Any advice is welcome.

For the foods that he grabs and spits out try that food with some garlic. That may help. Sounds like he is trying to eat something

Does he have cover or is he huddled in the corner? Not being comfortable can contribute to not eating. Blue spot jaws also need cooler temps.

No sand in the tank just some pvc pipes. He's always in the same spot. I can't see a sunken belly or anything. But I don't know if it's eating or what's eating.

There are pods and shrimps in the tank. I see them swimming now and then but I have a mandarin in there too and those are for him.

Did the blue spotted jawfish make it? I am considering getting one also but I have heard they don't do well? But more and more I am reading that people are having success?

Often times problems with this fish are related to temperature. They are a cooler water fish and on average want a lower temp than a reef tank provides.
