Blue jaw trigger help!

Hey guys. I ace. Blue jaw trigger for 3 months now and I just added a yellow tang. The trigger is attacking the tank all the time and biting his find and causing it to rip. What's going on ? I thought they were compatible ? What should I do

I don't know about compatibility on them but even when listed as compatible sometimes you get a fish that is just a jerk. Best thing you can do is remove the trigger into another tank and allow the tang to make itself at home. After a week or 2 add the trigger back in. He probably has made the tank his territory and did not like the new addition. When adding fish it is best to add least aggressive first and most aggressive last.

How long?

I'll play devil's advocate. I'd let it go a couple days. The tang can defend itself when it's had enough. If it gets out of hand, ie the tang is cornered and gives up, then I'd remove the tang.
