I recently moved to a 14 gallon saltwater biocube and have not replaced the lights yet. The lights that are currently on the tank alter between white and blue with a switch on the wire so I cant have it change automatically. I am going away next weekend and not sure if I should keep the lights set to white or blue. Any suggestions?

personally, I'd do blue. white will possibly be a huge algae issue when you get home

A small tank should be fine on white. or blue. 18 inches is not much in terms of light band absorption (rejection?) Blues brings out the pretty, white is fine for a tank. Par is par.
