This came in on a hammer frag and has spread some in about 3 months. Is this something I should get rid of? I've read it's invasive. Anyone with experience with it?

Yeah, from what I read these can be invasive.
Let me give your thread a lil' bump so that more eyes can see and chime in;)
 
There really isn't a more invasive coral. Not only invasive but aggressive and can kill other corals by smothering or warfare.

It's up to you but if it was my tank and having already dealt with a tank fully infested I would take any means necessary to keep that coral out. They can get out of hand in a hurry.
