Time to start a Build thread. Even though technically we got this tank complete. Here's a few pics of the process since getting it home.

It’s an awesome hobby. I’ve been trying to document my journey in saltwater thru my YouTube channel.

not the lights, the fixture holding them
Just the fixtures that came with them as far as I know. I didn't buy any of this originally, the setup was given to me but everything I've seen the fixtures come with those lights and I believe you can buy them separately from current usa

How are the two dwarf angels behaving?
Not bad now, first couple of days the coral beauty got bullied a bit but they have since calmed down. There's alot of room for them to get away from each other. Occasionally they will chase each other but it seems to get less and less each day.

Nice! How many gallons is it? Is this your first tank?
It is a 75 gallon with a 30 gallon sump. Its out first saltwater tank. We have a 55 and a 29 gallon freshwater setups. It's been really exciting so far. Bought our first coral last Saturday and got an anenome this week. We also have an anenome that didn't look like it was going to make it and was given to us but we got it home put it in the tank and it opened right up and moved around to be happy and seems to be thriving. I'll post pics later.

Time for an update. Switched lights to a couple of Chinese black boxes and have been messing with the height. Have them about 14 inches off the water running 100% blues and 30% whites. Have also added some corals. Having a bout with high Nitrate and phosphate but doing big water changes to fix that. Have also added a heater w/controller and an auto top off. Think I finally have my protein skimmer dialed in and while I'd like a bit more dry skim I don't mind cleaning it twice a week as is. I think my biggest problem was over feeding so I've cut back on that. Rearranged the rock work a bit and am waiting on some new pumps for a little better circulation than just the one I have and the return. That's about it for now. I'll post more pics soon.

Updated full tank photo. Things seem to be going well. Nitrate levels are coming down and corals are all alot happier. Ordered a grow light and chaeto for my sump. Should I add a powerhead to keep the chaeto moving or is this redundant? 20220522_174734.jpg
