Purchased these Purculas from my LFS, all was great til about day 3, noticed one had its tail missing. While it was still out hanging out at the bottom of the tank I finally found the other in the rocks with its tail missing. All other fish in the tank are great with no signs of any of this. Tank consist of a small 3" foxface and 2 Chromis....possible fin rot on both fish?

Are the clownfish the only new addition to the tank? - if so, it's the LFS that takes blame... Get your money back...

Were these small Percula Clowns? Are the Chromis long established in the system? What type of inverts does the tank house besides any snails?

Thread moved to Fish Disease Treatment.

Can you post some pictures? I'd like to make sure there isn't something else causing the tail rot that might effect the rest of your livestock before you return them.

Both clowns died. Returned to LFS and they were replaced and I asked for larger ones just incase the Chromis were snipping at them. If i catch one doing so, ill put it in time out. Never had a issue with Chromis before doing so. So far this pair is much different than the other pair as they wouldnt even come close to each other. This pair is staying together

Did you make sure they were eating at the store before bringing them home? did they come out of the same system as the previous clowns?
