I would like to hear your opinion.

This bowerbanki is in my tank.
What is the wart in this image?

Thank you for information.

I have never heard of a bounce appearing in bowerbanki.
Looks like any coral can get skin tumors. This is interesting.

Looks hideous in the picture, how would you rate that in person? Pictures just don't tell the truth :(

It is curious. I’ve only been in the hobby for a year now. How long have bounce been in the trade? They seem to be more common. What is causing the cancer and is it more prevalent now than before? I know hobbyist propagating will select for this mutation, but I wonder how things are in the wild.

I have one that I acquired about seven months ago and it was huge! I moved it to my new tank and it has split into five! All with tiny bounces.

I can get some of my shrooms pushing bounces with different spectrums and intensity. Caps shrink, tumors pop up and fill with zooaxnthelle. I think its a defense mechanism your coral has created to shield itself from either too much light or specific spectrum it doesn't like. At least that the vibe I get when I see it. Ive seen a few different corals do it now.

My alpha banki started to “bounce” awhile back. First it was only on the mama head, then the rest of the head started to just bounce. It’s in the same area with the rest of my bowerbanki, only the alpha bounce.
