Box fish with possible swimbaldder issues? Urgent

Hello

My box fish got caught on the wavemaker and after I saw this and released him he has been hurt (aparently internal organs or swim bladder issue). He has been upside down in the aclimation box i put him in for almost 48 hrs now. He is very much alive but being upside down he is not eating so i am afraid he has limmited time.

Any suggestions?

This is a fish that should not be in captivity, but not here to give a speech on that. These fish are susceptible to both ich and bacterial issues in which this looks bacterial.
Is fish eating , and if so, what are you feeding it?
For bacterial, was fish acclimated and even quarantined?
Fish will need to be treated in a separate tank with no rock and sand using Seachem Neoplex

Thank you @vetteguy53081 for your reply. I purchased it from a local fishermen who caught it. He was in coppr power 2.5 ppm for 40 days. He was eating perfectly all this time eating brine shrimp and copepods (froozen biomass).

Others are very hard to get on Honduras. Any advice? Also, i know you dont mean bad, so I would like to hear your opinion on why it shouldnt be in captivity? I want to learn.

Use kanaplex and as mentioned, should have been quarantined. The diet is insufficient and it should also get small meaty foods such as mysis shrimp, blackworms, small plankton keeping in mind it is wild caught and now not getting the foods it was in its natural environment.

This fish primarily eats algae. You should not introduce it into a new bare rock environment, wave maker incident or not it never had a chance to survive in such a newly established tank.

Oh my…. That worries me… he has been there for 2-3 months now… hes been eating “something” I guess maybe mysis or algae pellts or soemthung…

i am glad to tell you that after 48 hrs in Methylene Blue the box fish is swiming normally….. ive been almost handfeeding him witha. Pipete… he spits the food but I think something must be able to get eaten hopefully. How much time should he be in MB?
