Boxfish having bites on my star polyp

Hi all,
Yesterday i placed a boxfish in my aquarium. It is having bites on my star polyp and the polyp closed itself.
I liked the fish so much but i guess i didnt make enough research about boxfish. So i want to keep it, but do you think i could get his interest outside of the startpolyp somehow with some food that would attract him? Or any kind of advice?
If i cant find a solution i will take him back to the market.

Try adding some nori on a clip, maybe he will take to that instead.. .but they are known to graze on polyps
