I purchased this guy a few months ago, the container it was in, the lid came partly off, and it pretty much had no water in it. Threw it in the tank anyway.

1). Its gotten darker than when it arrived.
2). I don't think its grown at all
3). I don't even know how to tell if it is alive or not.

Thoughts?

Polyps not extended but looks healthy with no bleaching. Assure adequate light and flow as well as Calcium and alk in safe range. Salinity - 2.025-1.026 and temp 77-79

I have the same coral. They are hardy but it is on the slow growing side. Mine is in much lower light on the side of my rockscape.
