Oh I know. We have had Huskies for almost 12 years. We had a male & female. Siblings. We lost our female around Christmas time. We still have the black & white male. They are indeed smart dogs and great companions. You have a great looking pup. Our favorite color. Hope your wife loves to vacuum. :)

The girlfriend finally got her dog up to date on shots and over to the house. Argyle, my scottie, and her have been getting along well. He's finally got someone other than me who likes to play rough. The rest of my family's dogs are smaller than him. The closest one you'd think would weigh the same, he's my mom's 12 year old Yorkshire terrier. They are the same height, but you see Scottish terriers are built like little tanks. Argyle is 27lbs where the yorkie is 14.

Daisy is part Chow, part Heinz 57... we know she's Chow because of the purple spotted tongue and HUGE coat. Short snout and ears and curled tail too. She's shaved now, it was all matted up from not being brushed regularly.

My buddy, Argyle. Smartest most obedient dog I've ever had. Listens to every thing I tell him.

Daisy before the hair cut... she had her head burried in the pillows.

Daisy and Argyle playing. She's twice as tall as him but only about 10 lbs heavier. The little dogs won't play rough enough.

Robin I like the girlfriend. You guys better come for dinner when you come down next time!
I kinda like her too...

Yep, I'll have to call next time we go to the Smokies. I'd like to get a camper and stay longer next time. Hotels are expensive...

I have an old stainless steel Kirby vacuum from the early 90s, maybe even late 80s. It still runs and vacuums better than my mom's new Dyson. It doesn't get used much as the house is all hardwood and laminate and gets swept mostly. I do have two rugs I use it on tho. When I say I use it, I mean my girlfriend doesn't vacuum, at least she hasn't yet lol. I think she's afraid of a vacuum cleaner than is older than her!

Great looking pups! Huskies are smart dogs, but are independent. They can lean different behaviors, but often take in the command, stop for moment to contemplate what is in it for them, before complying - or not. :)

I had a red husky that got stolen in 1991. Bless his heart. He was beautiful. His name was Kaiser.
Oh man, that would suck. Hate to hear that.

Same way we survive - air conditioning. :) They are house dogs. When they are outside, they have lots of shade and water. Don't ever shave them. It screws up their coat - since they have two. The thick coat also insulates them somewhat against the heat. Even on the hottest days, both of ours would go lay out in the sun. :) The softer undercoat is what they shed, about twice a year for ours. Brushing often helps, but you could honestly brush for days and not get all of the hair off of them. A friend in Florida that has three has a special blower to remove a lot of the undercoat. It creates quite the snow storm though. :)
