Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

The transition from an AIO is like learning a whole new language.
Oh I know lol. Figuring out my 90 was a big surprise coming from my biocube that I only had for 7 months at the time, and pre reef2reef days where I just asked LFS owners and workers lol.

I would of done a very different set up with the knowledge I have now. But I made lemonade from my lemon and am having decent success now. :)
My pitfalls will help me be more successful on my next build! I’m thinking 180g??

I've always been fond of 180's with the 72x24x24 footprint!

The baffles in the sump will make sure that the all sections in sump will have steady water level except for return. the overflow will make sure that water level will be the same at the display tank.

The 1” is the drain and the 3/4” is a return line. Lots of (mostly older) reef ready tanks came this way. The 3/4” isn’t large enough to act as an emergency drain. I would use it as is, or drill the 3/4” to accept a 1” backup drain. My 140 was plumbed the same way - except there were two overflows. So if one drain stopped up, you still had a second drain. @Katrina71 , is there one or two overflows in the tank? Sorry, but I have missed a lot of what has been discussed. :-)

Flood damage...not mine, but sooo many people need help. Just cleaning up. Tonight I'm going to try to organize something with our scouts.
Very Nice.

Last week my home country Jordan had floods that we never seen before. what makes it worst that the floods hit the oldest and more populated parts of the city.
Damps are filled and overflowing with water.
