Been a bit unengaged of late. I typed this a ways back around your tank birthday and dont think i ever actually posted it but this thread changed the way I interacted and viewed the forum as a whole for the better. So my thanks to you for bringing some fun into things for me!

I could have done the 750,000,000 iterations with Mozart's Für Elise too but I prefer the song in the one I posted. Nothing stopping you though!

I have 2 drilled holes in the tank. 1.5" and 1.25". That's it. Starting from scratch. Durso. Will need everything quiet. I'll be piecing this together and have yet to see detailed piece by piece diagrams.

Work with what you have would be my choice! :)

After much agony trying to decide, I am just going to KISS. It is staying Durso. 1.5" is not going to clog easily. There are many things to make it quieter too. I may regret my decision, but I made it.

You know I get easily confused, why are we even talking about drilling?
New bulk heads and seals. The fittings do age!
I don't understand the drain configurations, I would happily use that! ;)

It's always amazes me how many of the other kind of reefers there are in the hobby lol. I don't judge I just don't partake, I've always wondered if it was the colors that made it so much fun for reef keepers. The smell makes my wife sick, so she can't even go into the homes of most of my aquarium friends houses and look at their tanks.

Ive never noticed a smell. I do run heavy carbon and change water on regular basis.
