Can anyone explain why a Durso is loud? I'm trying to figure out ways to make it quiet. Ok quieter.

I don't know for sure, I know mine on my 180 fresh I think is mostly because it's not a full siphon and so it gurgles. I don't know if you can make a full siphon out of a durso and how it would affect the noise. I haven't tried to quieten my down yet, I am planning on overhauling it so I haven't done it yet. I'm going to do it all at once.

You can make a Stockman standpipe out of the Durso. It will help quiet it down.

I’m not sure. It’s just loud. Gurgling, variable waterfall sounds and volumes. I have a pipe in mine with some airline tubing to quiet it down but it’s still loud. I’m not sure if that is a stockman stand pipe but it’s some sort of pipe.
