My corals are bloomin right now, happy as can be. If there's a negative change I may start WC but no complaints right now.
Exactly why I went with both, multiple WC and fluc is BYE FELICIA!! and can keep on with vibrant treatment.I doubt either it will affect your corals but I’m not sure how the two work together. Both are highly effective at treating gha. The fluc works faster but you can’t skim or change the water while it’s in the system.
Or dead fish, tissue recession, and dinos next?

Or I can stop vibrant now before dosing anymore. Either way I feel covered.
Yes I know that, what I'm saying is if there is any issues I can do multiple WC to help flush majority of it from the system. And then go on with vibrant treatment if I want to.You shouldn’t water change with fluc. You want to keep the treatment in the water and keep things untouched for at least 14 days.
Cyano can have large bubbles in it as well. A scope will tell your for sureWorried I may have Dino again in the frag tank. I got my new batch order of hanna regeants today which is nice.
What puzzles me is there is a lot of turf algae and cyano in there. Some of the cyano strands have big ole bubbles in them which is odd as well.
I’m wondering if this is Dino dooking it out with cyano and the turf algae.
When I started this hobby, I knew there would be a lot of ugly phases and expected it to happen to me. I never expected a cycle of Dino then cyano and Dino then cyano.
Getting a new tank even remotely stable is such a beating, I haven’t even had any GHA yet :/
My frag tank is about 4-5 months old, I wonder how much longer it will take until I find a nice rhythm for it.

No worries, it wasn't taken that way.@Why-Me I wasn't meaning what I said as a dis. I was just saying what happened with me. Everybody has a different way. I just killed all of my fish except one. I just wanted you to know it was not directed at you in any way.
I believe Brightwell also makes a Microbacter clean that is supposed to out compete the bad algae/bacteria to help stabilize the tank...I haven't tried it myself. Have had people on R2R who have told me they will always dose a small amount of microbacter 7 for as long as they're reefing., for tank stability/coral health.Screw it, going to give microbacter 7 a shot. I still believe there is no such thing as bacteria that can consume material amounts of waste or especially nitrates/phosphates.
My lfs jokingly said to report back to her if the magical microbacter has any merit behind it so she can actually sell some.
@Katrina71 my blues are on but here are the bubbles. I tested my display and frag and my parameters are the best they’ve ever been. .006 and .016 for phosphates (display and frag respectively) and 3 and 1 for nitrates.
I’m curious how low you need everything to prevent cyano growth? It seems to be thriving in my frag tank with nutrients so low.

Kinda like dosing Stability in fw tanks. Look at my build thread lol, tanks go through some UGLY phases! it’s your frag tank so I wouldn’t worry tooo much about some spots, as long as it’s not taking over you should be fine. That being said, if you want to dose something, all I can say is that I used this a couple months ago with no consequences except my cyano disappearing within a few days. I followed the instructions exactly, but dosed as if my tank was 20g and not 28. (Just in case!).![]()
I believe it was @aqua_code
who doses microbacter for stability
