i made it specifically for the bc32 and bc29 but it uses magnets and can attach to a lot of other tanks. let me know if you have any questions.

Awesome! I've been considering the bc29 as well because the cost drops significantly. Yeah I definitely would like to see more pictures of it and how it can be setup with filtration and media. Its hard for me to really see it just by those pictures on the website.

Welcome to reef2reef!

Thank you! :)

you can stack bagged media in the first chamber and grow macro in the large chamber. or you can take out the divider if you don’t want to use bagged media.

Alright cool. And this slides perfectly into the back of a bc as is? No mods?

Based on this I think I would layer the first chamber with a sponge, filter floss, and bagged media. Then use the large chamber for the chaeto.

the octo products are really pretty cool. I just ordered the SHU but with some custom features. I was looking at the products and want the heater holder, frozen food feeder, and an octo pen.

Yeah, I'm most likely going to order the octo fuge. Thinking about using dragons breath vs chaeto now though. I think it looks better, so as it grows I wouldn't be opposed to breaking some off and putting it in the display for looks, filtration, and food if the fish/inverts get hungry.

So another question I had was if anybody has any experience at all with sand dollars? I have always wanted one. I remember when I was a kid, my family would go swimming and look around for them. I think they're so cool and beautiful.

Hey guys so I will be having a change of plans for my new first tank. I've been surprised with my family all pitching in to get me an amazing tank for Christmas. They needed my slight direction of course, but I will be getting a Red Sea Deluxe XXL 750 (160g I believe) for Christmas. I can't even begin to describe the excitement! Haha. With this in mind, I'd really like to just do my research, get input from anybody with these experiences and go from there. So with that, I'd really like to have butterflyfish now. With this huge tank, it will allow me to have them.

I guess the major question is going to be about the Butterflyfish. My plan is to get the tank up and running, cycle it, and get some other easier peaceful fish (thinking like firefish, pajama cardinals, CUC, any other ideas welcome) to allow the tank to age and ensure its stability before getting and adding the butterflies. Good idea?

This will be a FOWLR setup.

Also, looking for input and experiences people have had with butterflyfish. The species I'm most draw to are:

Saddleback, Declivis (I LOVE, but its so expensive), Raccoon, Lemon, Tinker's, and Pearlscale. I hear the Threadfin is very hardy, but much more aggressive.

Also any other non-butterflyfish that I can house with them in a 160? I'd love to keep the firefish if possible.

I've been using this site for input:
http://www.wetwebmedia.com/Goodchaetodon.htm

Seems to have some info on each, but I'm looking for more personal experiences from members. Favorite? Easiest? Life expectancy? Feeding methods/difficulties?

Also, just realized when I first started this thread, I somehow spelt Advice wrong hahaha.
