Brand New to the Hobby

Hello everyone! Today is my first official day in the saltwater aquarium hobby. I have an IM Nuvo 15 in the early stages of cycling and I am planning on going the FOWLR route for now. Everything is set up but I am looking for heater recommendations. And of course advice is appreciated!

Welcome to R2R!

Welcome! I would go with either a BRS titanium heater or an eheim glass heater. I would then hook your heater up to an inkbird controller.

Ideally, a backup controller such as an apex would be ideal, but that is an extra luxury. With a tank that size, if your heater does not have anything to shut it off, it could be catastrophic. The inkbird is nice but it is a very cheap piece of equipment. If/when you get corals, id highly suggest a backup to the ink.

However, in your case you are going FOWLER so its not as expensive to replace a tank that has corals. SO, one of the above heaters and an inkbird!

Perfect, thank you so much! Does the heater go into the display or can it go in one of the chambers in the back?
