Breaking up live rock?

I ordered some reef saver rock from BRS and and the pieces they sent are way to big. What is the best way to break it up into smaller pieces? Would a hacksaw work or would the hammer and chisel route work best?

Hammer and wood chisel.
You can get a set of cheap wood chisels at Harbor Freight.
