So I noticed on my rock I had these bright pink splotches.. I put my orange filter glasses on and noticed it was also growing on my sand. If I take the orange filter off it’s not noticeable on the sand bed, but it is on my rock.

it could just be a part of your lighting? are you referring to the pinkish sand specks? I would turn off your lighting or turn the white channel all the way up and get a better look.

I've had that in my tank. It didn't last long though. I think it might live in low lit areas because I found mine on the underside of my magnet cleaner and on a plug buried in the sand. It might not have been the same species but it sure looks the same fluorescent pink.

I have the same thing in my tank, on the plug/ sand below my Duncan. Hasn’t spread yet but I’ve had it for about 2 weeks. Any updates?
