Hi

I have a 2.5 gallon tank running with sponge filter. There are many pairs of adults that have eggs and producing more shrimp.

My question is for the ones that have died off and on bottom of the tank, do you remove them or just leave as is, their decompsing adding nutrients back to the tank.

Yes you want to use air line tube and suck up the deads. You can loose the sponge and just use the air to create flow to keep them suspended. You will not like the smell if you don't keep that tank clean, that's why I was so happy when an lfs around here started carrying them. lthough I've only needed them on demand, rather than a constant food source. I think I did water changes once a week.
