I have tried all three, but wonder which is "best".

The one they go crazy for, is Brine shrimp. People used to say brine shrimp was nutritionally poor however, but there was also talk of "gut-loading" them to improve that. Not sure what happens with modern frozen brine shrimp cubes.

Mysis seem a good plain all round shrimp. Krill seem similar. I was reading some talk that Krill have better fatty acids and other things. Is this true? The fish eat krill well, but they don't get as excited as they do for Brine shrimp.

So, what is best, or should I just keep a bit of all them and vary the diet each day?

Sometimes, depending on the size (mouth) of the fish, you don't as easily have all 3 options. At least not without a lot of mess/waste. For example, a decent size Tang can gulp down Krill, but a Butterfly Fish might not always be able to 'chew' through the outer part of a large piece of Mysis. If your particular fish can handle all 3, however, I'd use all 3 for variety; with the Brine being used in less proportion. Just my 2-cents. 😎

Thanks. I guess it also depends on the size that they package in the frozen cubes. The krill I have a fairly small.

So there is some truth , still, to the story that Brine shrimp lack nutrients?

My crew gets restless without mussels and clams. Lol! (And the krill I was referring to was the larger size-- in the plastic bags.)
