Brittle ate snail along with shell?

Is it possible that my brittle ate a snail shell and all? Usually when he comes out to eat his center is very round. Today he almost looked like he had a octopus head! Looking at it it looks just like one of the snails shells!!! Kinda hard to get a pic but do you see it? Next question.... can he digest it? Or is he going to be a goner?

Opportunistic feeders they are! Yes, I’ve seen this first hand. The shell? They will expel the shell after eating the flesh.
