BRS - Aquarium Order

I have a family member living in Canada I was thinking to order an aquarium from BRS because there is no LFS that carries it for them. BRS says that 18% is added to the charge to cover any duty/custom charges so that there are no surprises when UPS shows up.

Has anyone here with any experience ordering and shipping to Canada. I have no idea how well an aquarium ships.

I wouldn't be too concerned as long as their house isn't in a remote rural location. Most shippers (like BRS) are pretty good at the game especially between city to city commerce. Otherwise, bump. I quit smuggling into Canada when the tarriff wars started.

I wouldn’t buy anything other than local. Imagine the hassle if there is a broken piece or some kind of defect.

You might have to pay a hefty price at customs also. Why not buy Canadian?

Doesn't know the spots... jeasus hold on what size of aquarium I know some spots !!! In good old Canada EH

I could not find a 20 gallon long any brand ... anywhere in Canada for months there were a few no shipping tho. But barely anywhere has them ....40 breeder was to big but found this place after grinding 5 months I stumbled upon this spot. Didn't take long for them to special order it and get it to me legit !!!
