So I have been using a BRS Dosing pump new out of the box to dose AFR, and did a quick and dirty 10 min calibration. Pump is rated at 0.066L/hr or 1.1mL/min, after 10 mins instead of 11, I had closer to 15 mL.

So today I decided to really calibrate the dose rate. First I primed it with rodi for about 2 hours, tried to get air bubbles out and also clean the tubing slightly. Using a tp link outlet, i set the timer for 3 hours into a bigger pyrex, after which I measured with a more accurate smaller container.

Final verdict, it's off... by a lot. 300mL in 3 hrs, 100mL/hr, 1.67mL/min. Really enforces the...calibrate your dosers.

Good call. I tested one i got used when I set it up and it came out at 2ml/min.

I am guessing it will slowly go down, but that will be due to wear on the peristaltic tubing, not a change in pump speed.
exactly what I was thinking. I wonder how much deviation you get from new tubing to well used tubing.
