I've had this for a long time without using and just opened up the bag that you're supposed to mix with 20 ounces of water. It seemed damp and kind of clumped together. I got it to mix to clear just fine in water but am wondering if I should still use it?

When in doubt don’t!
Use something you have Doubts about and you have two possible outcomes. I am not a fan of coin flipping!

Why would it be moist though? Does this naturally happen over time? I’ve had it probably 5 years now and am only now dealing with falling mag levels.

Yes, it absorbs moisture from humid air.
