Bryopsis alga x Phosphate

Guys, how are you? Is there a relationship between phosphate and bryopsis algae? I always had phosphate at 0, now I started dosing phosphate to raise the levels and noticed that bryopsis algae started to appear. My RO/Di water is scoring 0 in TDs in line. Thanks

All algae needs phosphate, but keeping phosphate low is not typically a good way to defeat bryopsis since it can thrive at levels lower than many corals you may be trying to keep.

I understand, but what happened was that when I raised the phosphate, the bryopsis started to appear

I am not disputing that. I’m suggesting that lowering it is not generally a good plan for bryopsis.

I have had a Bryopsis for a couple months. Started working on it:
I first dosed on 6/4
6/5 and 6/13 - PO4 .03-.07 and NO3 0.4
Everything seemed ok, although the algae did not change color; however, I did not have my lights dimmed or off.
6/20 - added an Atlantic Lettuce Sea Hare. I have not seen it lately.
6/22-6/23 - 4 fish died
6/23 - pH was 7.4; PO4 and NO3 still similar to above readings
6/23 - Did a 20% water change and removed all of my rocks to clean off the algae; dosed again with FluxRx
6/24 - pH 8-8.1 and Alk - 9.3
7/5 - seeing Bryopsis angain! Almost enough to make me quit the hobby.
My fish/coral supplier gave me the initial diagnosis that it is Bryopsis based on a picture that his curator viewed.
Something does not seem right. Perhaps I should remove the next rock I see with Bryopsis on it and dosed with FluxRx with no light present?
I just setup a separate QT and am treating again in the dark.

I have a couple other questions:
I have algae on my glass; mostly along the bottom, that I can only remove using a wallpaper scraper with a razor blade. However, as it comes off, it floats awhile or falls into my sand bed. Should I be siphoning it out? I don’t have a great system for siphoning as I don’t have a faucet where I can attach a siphon hose like BRS sells.
I also have a yellow color developing on my rock. See the attached photo. Any ideas what it might be?
