Elbow grease and janitors are sustainable for controlling gha. Bryopis is a type of gha.

AI agrees with you. I don’t The use of a fungicide as an algecide has long term effects.
I have some Bryopis & some gha in my 25 year mature 75G.. The CUC and I maintain ascetics.

Key Differences and Identification
  • Appearance: Bryopsis looks like tiny, dark green ferns or feathers. Hair algae appears as soft, bright-to-dark green hair-like strands.
  • Texture/Structure:Bryopsis feels wiry and holds its shape when removed from water. Hair algae turns into a limp, slimy clump when taken out
    .
    • Growth Pattern: Bryopsis spreads fast, forming dense, root-like mats that can be difficult to pull off rocks.
    • Removal: Pulling Bryopsis often shatters it, spreading it further, whereas hair algae comes off in large clumps.

Management Tips
