So I Purchased the Blue Life Flux RX And tried it on my 150 mixed reef. I had some Bryopsis but more GHA which I usually was able to control with Sea Hairs (sp) and watching my nutrient levels. Recently my GHA became more of a problem so I tried Flux RX. I removed as much of the green hair algae manually before dosing . I followed the directions to a T and 14 days later my GHA is stronger than ever but it did kill off all Bryopsis with 6 days. The only CORAL that was affected was some Zoas that lost their color and became somewhat pale but I’m hoping that will come back once some time passes. I just wanted to pass this on!

That’s interesting. My algae has been completely decimated by a fluc treatment that hasn’t even gone 2 weeks yet (Wednesday night will be 14 days). 28g tank though, I used 3 capsules. I’m honestly concerned for the health of my cuc, I mean all my algae has melted away.

Get sinking algae wafers. My hermits swarm for it!

I’m 2 weeks into treating for GHA and it’s still there and strong. There is one tiny patch where the tips are pale so I hope it’s finally starting to die. I’m giving it at least 3 weeks.

Yes. No carbon or purigen. I did end up adding phosguard due to a nutrient spike but everything I’ve read said that should be fine.
I have phosguard in as well, that’s definitely not the issue. I’m using a different product than you though.

Could not be more impressed. My algae has vanished, and my corals don’t care at all. Current FTS:

you should see noticible results by day 7 or something is wrong... My tank has a very similar looking algae (maybe same) and after the first week, the hair algae was "Greying" and dying. But, I think I will have to do another treatment.

Yeah, doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve seen other reports of it not working too.

Oh man. How much did you use, and how did you dose it? I emptied 3 capsules into a cup of tank water, stirred it up really good, and dumped it in the back over the return pumps. It did say that you could safely increase the dose. I’ve been told that increasing lighting intensity for the duration of the dosing regimen will help as well.

32g tank...I’ve dosed all 10 now, first 4, then 3 more after a week, then another 3 after another week.

there’s one little patch where the ends have turned lighter. Hoping that’s the start of it working.

It’s definitely working! Just on a really slow timeline, I saw results like that after about 4-5 days. I had much less algae than you though, but it was bryopsis and I wasn’t waiting around for it to take over.

Fingers crossed. It is known to work much faster on Bryopsis than on GHA.

I'd go in there with some shears and trim as much out as you can manually remove, because even when the fluconazole kills the algae, the dead cells will release nutrients back into the water (or be consumed by microbial communities), so it iwll have to come out one way or the other. Plus, it will give the fluconazole an "easier target."

I’ve been pulling some out but man it takes forever.
