I treated twice. First treatment did not take.
Second time it went away and has not come back.
I have since switched tanks but used the same rack that was covered in bryopsis. I have also not added any new corals or fish which helped.
That algae is everywhere in marieculture and in the wild.
You'll need to treat eventually and then not add new pieces to your tank

This treatment is toxic to mollusks though, correct? Hence why your sea hare died? Both my systems have lots of snails and clams and oysters and mussels, I wouldn’t want to kill them all, especially my clams!
